The Beatles come to Rock Band… NOT!
If there’s one thing besides computers that people think about when they think of me, I hope it’s music. I’m a huge fan of the classic rock genre: Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Santana… I could go on and on. But my favorite of all time: hands down, The Beatles. So when I heard that MTV won an exclusive agreement with Apple Corps (read: rights to use The Beatles’ songs), I couldn’t have been more excited. I was debating between Guitar Hero: World Tour and Rock Band 2 (yeah, I decided against Rock Band for financial reasons) and this announcement seemed to seal the deal.
But wait, they apparently won’t be coming to Rock Band. Deservedly so, they’ll be getting their own “fully dedicated title”, but the lack of Beatles DLC or other Rock Band 2-compatibility, I believe, will make the decision easier for many people to not purchase this title. I, for one, am too big of a Beatles fan to pass this up, so they’ll be getting my money either way. But will this decision affect your propensity to buy?
