Xbox 360: Delete 0-point games from your game history
I was recently looking at my Xbox Live account online, and noticed that I had a lot of potential points to achieve. I have borrowed a few games from friends to try out, as well as trying out some free Arcade games, but never actually gotten any achievements on any of them. Still, they show up in my games list as reminders of laziness and wasted potential. I figured there’s got to be a way to take those games out of that list, but had never actually looked into it before. Turns out, it’s built right in.
No matter where you are on the dashboard or in a game, hit the Home button, then press left once to get to the Games menu. Press ‘A’ once while the “Achievements” option is highlighted to view your list of games and total achievement scores for each game. Now, just scroll through your list of games and for any game that you have 0 achievement points an option will pop up at the bottom of the menu: ‘X’ to “Delete Game History”. Press it, then select “Yes” to confirm, and that game will be deleted from your game history, so all those potential points won’t be counted against you. (Note: this will not delete the game itself, so don’t worry about deleting your downloaded Arcade games. And once a game is deleted from your game history, you can always play it again to add it right back.)
Now, if only you could delete those games with pesky 10 or 20 points achieved.
