Attn Bloggers: Top-Posting is Bad
Hey live bloggers, stop top-posting! It’s only reasonable for people who spam their F5 key and sit at the top of their window. If you didn’t notice, scroll down to the latest post, hit F5… and it’ll both refresh the post AND remember where you were on the page! It’s magic! Top-posting is really counter-intuitive, especially for readers who might check in every few minutes rather than constantly pounding your servers into failure. Let me give you an example:

Hey-oooo! Did you see what I did there? Yeah, don’t do that. Evar.
In all seriousness: top-posting means to put a the most recent update, reply, or content above the original content. It is considered very poor netiquette (internet etiquette) in most internet communities, but for some reason has garnered approval in the live-blogging arena. Why? Does anyone really appreciate this?
